It is a place where everyone can try different kind of equipment for product development and design own products. As soon as it will be possible to gather the accelerator team together, we will use the opportunity for further product – souvenir development for SEMPRE Liepa Coffee-Shop!
A brief overview of “Action learning” methods closing seminar 03.10.2018.
Empowerment training module in Vidzeme region has been finalized. Social service providers from 6 municipalities presented their final work on social service development. The training was built on Action learning method and social service providers throughout worked on their own defined problems and challenges. This training was important part of empowerment process stressing the needs of the most vulnerable groups in rural areas. During the “action learning” training groups were working on very different individual social settings and services. Several groups were working on deinstitutionalisation plan and new service development for persons with intellectual and functional disabilities in rural areas. Other groups were working on the end-user’s motivation and engagement in different activities provided by local communities. One group hardly worked on social entrepreneurship and integrated working places. SEMPRE fosters changes in local social service provision in Vidzeme, Latvia!

11.10.2017. – Annas Brokas and Hannas Mihailovas participation in the Economic Forum (obtaining important information about state guarantees for commencing a new business).
12.10.2017. – Meeting with youth in Liepa, Priekulu region. Talking about ways how to design new work place.
20.10.2017. – Meeting with youth in Nauksenu county. Kitchen talks and cooking together with Valter Zirdzins (The “Valter Restaurant” chef).
23.10.2017. – A practical lesson will take place on the use of http://www.latvija.lv portal in Liepa, Priekulu region.
25.10.2017. – Visit to Alsviki Vocational School. Swedish expert Inger Lilja will take part in the visit to share experience on educational support opportunities for people with functional disorders.
5.10.2017. – Meeting with entrepreneurs Girts and Raivis in Vaive, who are interested and want to work with young people in rural areas. They have premises – all what is needed is knowledge and youth participation… Project SEMPRE is ready to help!
Meeting with social service providers in Liepa, Priekulu region
Meeting with social service providers 04.10.2017. in “Save the children” premises, Maija street 4, Liepa, at 10:00 am. The purpose of the meeting is to get familiar with the “Theory of Change” method.
Meetings with young parents and social partners
22.09.2017. – In “Save the children” premises, Liepa, Priekulu region, Maija street 4, at 10.00am – there will be “Kitchen talks” with parents.
29.09.2017. – In “Save the children” premises, Liepa, Priekulu region, Maija street 4, at 10.00am there will be meeting with parents, all together cooking pizza and talking about social support for families with children.
5.10.2017. – meeting in Liepa with social service partners, talking about upcoming project SEMPRE activities, in social services premises, at 9.00 am.
10.10.2017. – “Save the children” opening event in Priekuli, where families with children will gather together to play, eat delicious pancakes and enjoy the friendly environment being together. Representatives of the SEMPRE project, Anna Broka and Hanna MIhailova, will get to know parents closer and invite them to further talks to take place in Priekuli district.

Mid-term conference, 14th of Semptember 2017
The Mid-Term Conference of the SEMPRE project will take place on 14 September 2017 in the Estonian National Library in Tallinn, Estonia. It will be hosted by the Estonian Evangelical-Lutheran Church and have the title:
“Social Innovation and Organisational Change – Challenges and Opportunities for Social Service Providers”
